Wow Dave that is about the most rust free Mopar I've ever seen. Either that is a really low mileage car, or it never got driven in the winter at all. It's a great candidate for this project. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I tried to talk him into just shooting the outside of the car with a coat of paint. the car was that breath taking in person.......

That car was the poster child for time capsules. Unbelievable shape. On a somewhat unrelated note, anyone know if Fall musclepalooza is in Lebanon Valley again this year? Is anyone going to the Memorial day one?

Dave that's a great pic of you and your dad in pic number 1. Your dad's a great guy, I spoke with him quite a bit last year. It warms the heart to see you guys working together like that.

Thanks! There's a 95% chance the fall Palooza will stay right where she's at (LVD), there is some talk about changing it so until we hear something concrete we can't post the date. My money says they will stay at LVD.

Dave until you posted photos of this car I never believed there was such a thing as a rust free Mopar. Kinda like a unicorn or a pure stock Buick that could run 12.50 or faster, I always thought it was something that didn't exist. :) (for the Buick I mean truly pure stock)

By the end of this week the entire car with all the panels will be painted inside out. :hap2 :hap2 :cool

Basically Dad and I have worked 3 to 5 days a week on the body since Oct 1st. Normally only 3 or 4 hours a day.. Here we just finished sanding the bottom for the second time, this time wet sand 400.

Why was it so hard to find a hood?

The hood is basically a one year only deal.. Although it was also available in 1969 almost everybody opted for the fresh air hood. On my RR I pulled off the restrictive "fresh air" set-up (removed seals) for one pass and picked up 1 mph. With the "air grabber" stuff and scoops the 69 hood is about 30lbs heavier and makes you slower. The fresh air was a marketing must at the time, I guess.. Try finding one of these hoods with no rust.

Dave, is this an original real 68 Hemi Super Bee or a 68 383 Bee you are upgrading to Hemi power?

It's not a numbers matching Hemi car, i'm just a factory worker.. This is more than I can handle money wise.
