If the sandbox rules say "bigger shovels not allowed" they better find another way.

Or move to the bigger shovels sand box.

    Sooooooooo....we're changing F.A.S.T. to B.S.S.B.??? :pp

BTW, the Carter and Holley mechanical fuel pumps are now all made by Carter. The Holley version just machines the "Carter" off the side and polishes up the casting.

Nope, I'm saying don't change anything.....

Just make what's there mean something:TU:

Shovels being equal; Do we penalize 'good shovelers'?

Nope. The shovel might get checked though.

    That's a given.
Just so that the "average joe" that runs his car once a year and maybe uses the car for ice cream rides and cruizing Woodward knows he may be out-shoveled.

"But do you think a stock mechanical (CARTER OR NOT) can pull through a pump thats off?
    Yes or No"

While I have never conducted that test but my guess would be that performance would be compromised. That being said if I were to cheat and use a electric fuel pump in a class where they are not legal, you can be damn sure my car would run good when it was quiet too.

So my answer would be NO but I wouldn't draw the line at just installing one.It would run good without it too

I think you guys need to bone up on your shovel rules. One little page front and back is a rather broad rule book in my opinion.

You all assume people are cheating who has proof?

I agree it is broad, so there should be no reason a car can't run well without going into banned areas.

Don't assume there are assumtions. I'm going by what I have seen and been told first hand.

No more of that will be said here......let the tech inspection do the talking.

Bone up? Again, with all shovels being (not assumed) equal:
Don't discredit someone who has and made it work. Don't overreact to someone who hasn't. I think that is what Dan and Bob have tried to do. If it ceases to be fun for them, we're all screwed. :(

    That is the truth :TU:

Another possible "were all screwed" if things aren't kept under control, is insurance or the track coming down on Dan and Bob due to the ET's.

"I'm going by what I have seen and been told first hand."

    That to me sounds subjective.

I would be intrested to know the most criminal acts comitted. Not heresay. No names give me a pm.Maybe I am wrong.Maybe people are really out of line.I'd be curious to know.

I appreciate the curiosity, but I'll wait and see if the tech folks do anything.

    Thanks Paul.

Yea, Paul after trying to find the missing .2 tents and 2 mph in the 1/8 all year. Rebuilding the motor going over the whole car over and over again @ VMP the tranny was not going into high gear no it's not a Kilgore or it would not have broke, The trans out of the gate the gears were fighting against each other but you really did not notice it the car was just off in the 1/8. So I hope the new tranny will fix it.

Just tech our car to the specs that are out there. We'll pass, and still have fun without a pusher pump. :3gears: Oh wait .... we still will run points ...... crap-o-la, how can that happen.........

     :spank:

Cool.....already set aside vacation to be there.

Haven't seen your car in particular but look forward to giving any participants a look see.

I think we should get Jim Spetzman to attend too, he's usually traveling in the neighborhood that time of year.:3gears:

That should cover the third party auditing.
