If the weather holds we will be there with Ron's '71 455 HO GTO next Sunday. Hopefully we can now give Jim some competition, or at least be within shouting distance :TU:

mine was running last Friday. Took the carb apart, made some changes, probably made the float too high now instead of too low, added a spacer, found out it caused linkage issues, will have them finished tonight.

I think I'm approximately 498 days ahead of your schedule :beers2:

OMG ! You are coming Arpie !!!!

    I can't believe it !!!!

This is rare! Mark your calender!:bla:

Steve, since it's been in hybernation so long, make sure you open the garage door slowly,as to not let to much light shine on it to fast. Wouldn't want to blind the poor thing.

Kind of like me opening my wallet.Look inside and you see a bunch (small bunch) of dead presidents rubbing their eyes!

Glad to hear you are coming!

Knowing me, I'm sure that I can come up with an excuse not to show.

Rich, if we get paired up, please don't beat me too bad with that Rambler of yours....

    Steve,

If we get paired up,as painful as it will be for me,I might have to extract some of those dead Presidents from my wallet,so you'll let me win. I better oil the wallet first so the leather doesn't crack!

    No excuses !

    See you there!:3gears:

I've been informed there has been an update to the US41 schedule for Sun. The track still opens at noon but it's staying open until 8pm because they have added a street car chaos event :Do No:

    http://www.us41dragway.com/index.php?page=schedule

I've also been told most of the cars probably won't show up until 4pm so from noon until then we'll probably have the run of the place. $30 for the driver to run, spectator is less. I don't recall the price offhand.

Although some of the um, quicker Pure Stockers may want to stay and perhaps win a little extra money :Brow:

Chris, we're probably gonna need a couple blue bottles to win some money... let me know though, I seem to have Rob in Tinley on speed dial lately.

Good to hear, this is gonna be FUN!

p.s. H/O is ready to rock.

Oh know this could get interesting! I might have to leave the sc/rambler behind and bring out my camaro. The only problem is me and lukie would have to hook up that 2 stag nitrous plate I got! Oh yes, Robbie Adler would like me after that. I would not only be calling him for bottle refills but for pistons as well! As if he doesn't have enough of my money already!:bglasses:

Hook up the bottle if you want...no worries about the motor...they are on special this week at Wally Mart. Buy 50lbs. of 'Ol Roy Puppy Chow, get 2 Chevy small blocks FREE!

    :moonu:

Better bring an extra set of tires for that Camaro too. I heard there are going to be some smokey rubber melting burnouts!

Your right Paul. That is the only thing nice about the small block chevy's. If you brake them you could just hit up a few blue light specials and your back in the game! I think I will leave it at home, getting the rambler going is more fun. But next year I think it might have a little something purging from the cowl vent on the camaro! (It isn't a pure stock car so don't worry!) I see 1969 hurst burnouts in our future!
