Found 1971 GS 455 Stage 1-conv. Need help identifying car

Discussion in 'Wet behind the ears??' started by newtobuicks, Jan 18, 2010.

  1. I'm sorry guys, but something doesnt add up. Why would the seller take his money & disappear if the he knows the buyer knows his business's. Buyer mentioned the name of the business, phone numbers, etc. Like I said earlier there are two sides of the story.

This is a shame.I Had all the division records for decades and never knew that 71 buick was a issue. The fellow who has them now has a 71 and I know that all the vin docs with tracking was there for his car. I will tell him about this issue next time we cross.Good luck with this.

Someone paid some good money for it. We know it exists.

But it's worthless if it never sees the light of day! I'd pay for it if it was made available. (or at least try to)

Last I had heard, the it was known to exist but the trail had gone cold on who actually had it. Sounds like from reading the above, the person is known?

BTW, I hope that car turns out to be legit and you get your hands on it (as you paid for it). I'm wondering if it isn't a case of restamping, but a case of the seller, via this thread, realizing what he has and thinking he sold too low?

    Brian (Bigboat),

If you know who has all of the '71 documentation, please ask him to contact someone on the board (possibly Duane?) to see if some type of arrangement can be made to make this information available to '71 owners. We appreciate any help you can give us on this.

    Thanks,

    Ken

I appreciate your comments. You very well could be right. Sellers greed, restamping, getting caught . Either way, this lying jerk could have least called and explained himself over the course of a month, instead of hiding. I had gone to his place or shop and will post pictures later.

All Type Auto-ALLTYPEAUTO.COM- Total Scammers, stay away. He is a member here and when my attorny says put his name up I will do so immediately.
Right now they're looking into how many others may have gotten screwed by All Type Auto or any of the other compnay names

Can we assume that after all the comments and previous posts that this issue is now a legal matter and therefore no more updates until the matter is resolved via the legal system?
