It's not a setback Guy, it's called a speed bump and you know what life is full of them (so are dam parking lots), it's how you learn to avoid them is the key to your successful recovery
Merry Christmas Guy, Hoping you're doing well and geared up for the Holidays with friends and family. God Bless!

Alcoholism and depression; they like to dance together. Hope someone local can reach out to him and be a sponsor to periodically drag Guy back to the good parts of life that these things erase from one's consciousness. If you're reading this Guy, they're right in front of you, your mind is just hiding them from you. Fake it till you make it and don't be afraid to talk about it. You will learn there are people who really love you that you have never guessed, and others, well, you will better know where you stand with them, or that there are plenty of others who just can't deal with such things at this time in their life. Maybe this is "just" the struggle leading to your true awakening. Just here, you have 15-pages of conversation from people who chose not to skip past your plight. Near all of us are here in this post for YOU.
Hi everyone, just an update. 45 days sober. 37 days ago not so good. Hospital for 7 days admitted with a ba of .49 and more injuries from falling. Sent straight to a 90 day rehab from there. Doing very well here. Closer to my higher power, the Lord. First 90 day program for me and learning more here than the three 28 day programs previously. Made good friends with the “house “ dog. A rescue that was beaten. So far I am the only one that will let walk him. Nice to get out on nice days. Thanks for the responses and pm’s. They help. Alcoholism addiction is a a disease I wish on nobody. Thank you for the support everyone. I’ll keep in touch now.
Thanks for the update Guy..... Been wondering how you were doing. Jenn and I pray for you several times a week if not daily. Many things can crush our spirits and lead to a bad outcome. So glad you are on the mend, keep at it my Friend... Call if you need
Thanks for updating us Guy. I feel safe in saying everyone who's following this post is 110% in your corner, while pulling for you to beat this disease into total submission. I'm sure that house dog knows a winner when he meets one. You can do it.
Thank you for the update. I’m also fighting alcoholism. Keep working at it, it is worth it to be sober. In fact we literally can’t afford NOT to stay sober.
