Hi Guy, tried to reach you on your mobile (full) & at work this week. So glad to hear you are getting some help buddy. Continuing to pray for you & please do the same for me (in a real low spot, but what else is new). Keep taking it a day at a time and give me a shout if you just want to chew the fat. Sincerely, Fritz
Each day will be harder until a few months passes and it gets much better each day. But don’t let your guard down because The Devil is cunning.
One day at a time is not a cliche. Sometimes it can feel like each minute drags on and on. You can whip this.
Thanks for the update Guy, and thanks for you're courage to be open and Honest with us and yourself, one step, one day at a time. Chin up and marching forward. blessings and good vibes coming your way! Be Well.
My temporary house sponsor here has a 2021 Dodge Durango SRT… I think 725 HP. Picked me and one other peer/patient Wednesday night to go to a bible study. Got “on it” for me. Lucky to have him pick me for a sponsee. He’s cool and once was a patient here. Going to take the house dog for a walk now. Take care everyone and thank you.
106 days sober! This place I truly believe is helping. I know…easy to stay sober here. Kinda. We do have some freedoms though. If you really want, you can find your drug of choice. Within the 3 months I’ve been here, at least 4 guys got kicked out for using. I believe it is working for me so much that I’m staying an extra month…on my dime!! I’m a senior here now. And went with a newbie to his VA hospital to make sure he doesn’t “stop” somewhere along the way to get anything. (Heroin addiction). The VA is part of Wood National Cemetery where my WW2 highly decorated POW father is buried . They let me stop there to visit him. sorry for the Cubs shirt and hat. My father also tried out for second base for the Cubs in the early 1950’s ( played minor league). Tomorrow he would have been 101 years old!
Glad to hear you are doing so well. Called your work a couple months ago & now I know why I missed you. Keep up the good work brother. Kindest Regards, Fritz
