It's always in the one magazine at the bottom or the first one that you missed I only now have maby 200 magazines and get dizzy trying to find a car or article. One thing I did do is put a blue piece of masking tape on the cover that tells me it has Buick related cars. Thanks for looking
Imagine thousands of magazines, all sorted by title in big totes, from the 1950s to present. When I die it will probably all get thrown into a dumpster. I've been collecting them since I was a kid in the early 80s when I started to collect car advertisements and road tests (it's an impressive collection too). My road test and car ad collections are in nice binders on a few book cases in the house and I've told my wife to give them to my car buddies when I croak.
Wow thats a hell of alot!! and some golden oldies! They will be Gold and a great great great score to someone, but finding who is another story. I'm sure members here would love them but i'm thinking they also have a big stack of mags. I don't have any Sons and my Nephew's are into new cars. One had a 2007?? Mustang GT that his Grand Father bought him new, but then got into the Subaru turbo's I tried my best to get him into old Muscle with no hope. Asked him to help me get the little things done on my 79 TA to get it on the road as a way plus even sent him pic's of Brads GSX.. Nada. My Nephew is a hard worker in his field but prefers the new computer plug an play on new cars and doesn't like to get his hands dirty to much.. Oh well..
Check out the Guide to Muscle Car, October 1991... There is a picture of me, my prom date, and my '71 GS back in the "readers rides" section. I can't seem to find my copy.
I have it on DVD.....converted all my GS Nationals tapes years ago.....i will see if i can copy her interview out of the DVD. Peace WildBill
I'm sure everyone would love to see those official videos again. I have never had access to a copy of any of them. If I had access to VHS versions (or those on DVD), I would digitize and upload them to YouTube for everyone to see (if it didn't pose a copyright issue of some sort). I found a several compilation videos from the Grand National and T-Type Performance Enthusiasts. Click the blue links below. You're welcome! I have always heard about you and your mother, but I'm not sure we ever got to meet at one of the events. I did get to see your cars now and then, and they were always beautiful.
I always loved reading my BoP muscle mags,...had a white iron head stage 2 in one sitting on cragar super tricks,...88~89 issue maybe,...wonder where it is now,...was a legit stage 2 package car
dont know if you remember or not but we ran into you and mom going back to iowa with the x car as it had somthing wrong with the engine, whe gave you 2 a carved wooden buick plack, hope you gus made it back to iowa ok and got the motor fixed!
We were the guys that actually read the Buick articles instead of skipping them like most car guys did. Reading all those Buick articles has had an impact on where I am in life today. Selling parts and restoring Buicks is probably what I was put on earth to do. Lol
In high school I worked with a single lady that drove a 1970 triple black GTO 400 4 speed, yeah... she would not let me go near it
@Brett Slater's mom drove a '71 GS 350 4-sp. He was brought home from the hospital in it. There's a video of her driving his Stage 1 4-sp & looks quite at home.
I pulled out the 10/1991 issue today. I don’t have access to a scanner right now so here are photos. Any idea where the car and the lovely lady are today?
