How about the implosion happened a week ago this coming Sunday, but clogged the news cycle all week?

    Just another conspiracy thought

Regardless of the time, it happened! Sympathies to families!

Hope it happened so fast like the media claims that his worst fears were never felt.
I'm imagining or guessing that a billionaire's life is so hectic that he's rarely home to spend time with family and this was a chance.:(

Ocean liner Designs channel on You Tube has a very good vid on the design of the sub, he doesn’t do any finger pointing, just points out the design of the Titan and how it vastly differed from “Alvin” the submersible that has been on numerous deep dives.
He (Mike Brady, the host) also explains the active and passive sonar and also says the US Navy heard sounds indicative of an implosion shortly after the announcement of “lost communication” with Titan.
Seems the US government placed “microphones” all over the oceans during the Cold War to hear soviet moment in the ocean, well I guess one or more of these microphones picked up the implosion, the US Navy reported it immediately, but all the while people were still talking about how many hours of air they had left, when in fact they were already dead.
It’s amazing how far sound will travel in water, and how noisy the oceans and lakes are.

I think the Navy/Coast Guard, et al, wanted proof (the debris field), before making a statement.

From my experience in "crash recovery" operations, (USAF aircraft) this is standard protocol.

The military does not move on rumor or speculation, but facts and logic.
It is better to report truth and facts late, than to speak too soon, and live with embarrassment forever dealing with assumptions and haphazard guesses.

So, no conspiracy. No covering for anyone. Simply getting the facts and presenting them as soon as practical.

But, there is always a "Scully and Mulder" out there that "Just Want to Believe".

The mainstream media and it's vast audience, wants the salacious and drama.

    Turn the page...

Guess the acrylic port was only rated to 1300 meters by the manufacturer o_O

...I respect and listen to Cameron, he's built submersibles and been to bottom of Mariana Trench (over 15K psi:eek:)...

...as for who knew what when, I'm confident Navy heard implosion...

I don't doubt that the sharks could get to that depth, but it would have to be a very slow trip down, so that the internal pressure of the shark was always close to the external pressure. In the various photos and videos of the Titanic that I have seen, there weren't loads of fish (some, but not a lot) so I can still not think of any good reason why these sharks would want to go that deep. Perhaps in this instance, the sharks are smarter then we.
