Good afternoon class. Today we’re going to talk about the letter W. Wind starts with a W. Windy also starts with a W. Windier also starts with the letter W. Now let’s use those words in sentences class. This morning when I woke up I felt the wind. By lunchtime it seemed like it was getting windy. The storm is not even close to us and it is definitely getting windier. I sure hope we don’t have to use the word WOW!!!!!!
Does anyone remember what hurricane Andrew was before he crossed the Gulf Stream? He was just a little baby category one hurricane. People went to sleep that evening not fearing anything. I’ll bet when they woke up in the morning they said, “WOW!!!”
Dang, do you guys know what’s worse than the political ads we have been inundated with? Nonstop news on a stupid storm. 6 o’clock news and the guy from emergency management for Palm Beach county is saying prepare for electric outages. No kidding.
Sounds like you have cottonmouth Steve. Are you sure it’s a hurricane you’re needing? Maybe an ice cold Pepsi?

This sounds like you start out cutting a little bit of cheese then by lunch the wind gets intense and by supper.... BOOM!! not WOW!! lol sorry had to do it. lol
Some of you might know it, cause I've written about it before. I HATE inside!!! I will be outside for this hurricane. I believe I am very fortunate that my house sits crooked on a corner lot. I guess they wanted to round the blocks off because all the corner lot houses "round off" the end of the block. Anyway... So many hurricanes I get to literally sit in my screen porch, which is usually the leeward side off the house, and watch the storm. (It's a stout screen porch. The house's roof covers the porch.) This storm will be the same. Most, if not all of the big winds will be coming from the north side of the house, and I'll just sit calmly watching it all happen. Wind, for you people that have not experienced a hurricane, it is NOT windy the whole time. My neighbor and his wife will look out their front windows and wait for me to give the signal. Run Forrest, run!!! It can be crazy windy, and then it just stops. Oh it will be back again. Just be fast with what you're trying to do. Right now is a perfect example. The wind is around 12 MPH, then we'll get a gust up to around 25 to 28 MPH, then it will be dead still. Weird. I don't know how air passes air, but it does. I'm actually thinking most wind gusts are downbursts and not straight line winds. Just my guess??? Well that's enough of my ramble right now. Carry on...
Good morning storm fans, I don’t know if you can guess this one. You know what’s way worse than a hurricane? I know, some of you are thinking a titty twister, but that’s not the answer. The answer is your wife home today because it’s election day and her school is closed for polling. Oy vey, her suggestions of things I should do for the hurricane. Go inside the house woman and watch TV please. Leave me alone!

Fernando, sorry buddy. I will do my best to aim it Steve’s way and to leave Central Florida alone. Patrick, ain’t that the truth! She watches those fix up the house shows and thinks she knows how to do everything. Fortunately for me she left for at least half the day to go see our new granddaughter. The best news I’ve heard all day is that Palm Beach County schools have still not decided on whether to cancel school tomorrow or the rest of the week. Awesome! Hey babe, work is calling you.
I just got a message that Pasco County schools will be closed Thursday. I'm glad it's projected to be outta here by Thursday night - Friday morning!
