Glen, I sent you back a pm.... it`s guys like Glen... is what our Hobby is All About! Glen....I really appreciate the help.
I am still looking for this lower cowl section. Can someone provide me a rust free lower RH cowl section. It can be off of any 1968-1972 abody. Looking for both the inner and outer section. It would be perfect if someone could just saw-zaw an entire lower section. Thank you,
Dan I believe some of the cowl sections are now being repopped for the A bodies now. Nice work. :beer
Since I am replacing the entire lower cowl section, I decided to remove the half section of the firewall. Really going the extra step and removing the ALL the remaining rust, which was minimal and I could have left it alone....but I figured, Do It Right! Removing half the firewall will also allow installing the entire lower cowl section much easier.
The thing that amazes me is that Dan always seems to clean up the mess before he takes the pictures. You never see any of the dirt and rust and metal shavings that have to everywhere but are nowhere to be seen. :TU:
Chris, Love to see what your plans are for your Buick, start up a thread when your ready to start your project. Love to see your pics and progress. If you need someone to take the pictures for you, I`m getting pretty good at it :kodak:
Getting ready to remove the old RH quarter panel....installed new rust free passengers door & set the gaps....next, off comes the quarter panel :TU:
Hauled those doors in my old BignastyToyota from Philly area....Seems a lifetime ago...I miss that old girl sometimes...Great job Dan...
Pat, I sure am glad you woke up that morning and decided to take a road trip to Philly to purchase these Post Doors. I have seen many Post Doors and this set is the cleanest, rust free set I have seen :TU: Good Job, Pat:TU:
RH Quarter Panel is off :TU: If anyone local is looking for a good reusable "NOS" quarter panel, I will let this one go cheap :TU: Pick up only.
