    Your Welcome

Still haven't decide on the wheels and tires, 15 inch ralleys or go with a 17 inch torq II's. As for side chrome, My GS didn't come with any, only chrome I replaced was the roof rails and rear pieces that pinched the vinyl roof.

    Update;

Today we took the old bumper and removed all the brackets, lights, and taillight assemby. Was taken apart and detailed. After cleaning everything, it all was put on the new bumper from The Parts Place. The rear bumper was put on the car. Now the GS is really starting to take shape.

after all that work painting the car...DID YOU RATTLE CAN THE INSIDE OF THE HOOD?????????? also, just asking, dont be offended, why did you replace the chrome for the vinyl top with no vinyl top?i think it would look better without, but i am not a chrome kinda guy.just sumthin else to try to keep shiny.keep going, looks great :TU:

No offense taken, the reason I did that way is, I can always put the vinyl top back on if I want the car to be correct. Once you remove those pegs and fill in the holes, it would hard to replace the vinyl top. This way you would know that it was a vinyl top car and can really appreciate the hard work that went into the roof.

    Update 02/25/06

Today the front bumper, headlight bezels were installed. After the fourth try, we got the bumper pretty well adjusted and evenly spaced. Also put new seat covers on the driver's bucket.

Yeah, went to work on Sunday and today finished the passenger bucket seat. Waiting on the window fuzzys from Year1, to then complete the interior.

Well the fuzzys came in from Year1, and I was able to locate a shifter on Ebay. The interior was put back in the car over the last week. Just a matter of detailing the trunk, undercarriage and the wheel wells. :Smarty: Now have to decide on the tire and wheel combo.

    Very nice job Loui.

Did you replace all the weather stripping on the car? Did you get it all from year one, and were you happy with the fit?

I close to oerdering all the weather stripping for my 69 and was curious how you made out.

    Thanks.

    James,
Thank you, I got all the weatherstriping from here, --->http://www.buick-parts.com/catsky.htm
The interior from Year 1, seat covers, headliner, and carpet. Also got all the emblems and window fuzzys from them. The bucket seat chrome set from S&S Classic auto parts

    Looks nice!

I could be wrong, but this 83 Buick Regal I might be buying looks like the EXACT same color.

I could have sworn the owner said it was "firewood" something. (original color)

I'm sure it carried over through the years and is very similar.

Anyone have 1983 Buick paint codes/names handy?

Also... am I reading this correctly that the Fireglow Orange Poly was a special color for the GS in 1969 only?

    Thank you
Yes it was only offered in the spring of 1969, only a total of 306 GS were painted that color. 150 GS 400 and 156 GS 350

Sounds like your talking about "rosewood" which is a reddish brown with a hint of pink. It was a Regal color in the 80s

Nope... familiar with Rosewood, has a strong Mauve Hue to it.

This 1983 factory Buick color is nearly identical to 69 GS Fireglow Orange, it's called "fire-something"

That's weird... I don't see it listed, and no color comes close.

Going to check a few other years...
