I just made reservations at the Marriott close to the track. Gotta love the fact my best friend is an asst. gm for them in Dallas, aka saved some $$. So I'll be there with my wife, 4yr old girl and 10 month boy. So if you see us say hi. I'd like to put some faces with names. Should be a great time.

    OK TTT!

I know some of you guys were waiting to see if you made it through Stanton without breaking anything. If you are still in one piece and are not headed to Virginia, keep this in your headlights!!

Again, Oct 6 and 7 is a weekend race with Columbus day on Monday.

Give me a shout if you need anything.

I will find out the timing of everything, but the Chiefs game???? Haven't you had enough misery watching football teams wearing RED this season???:spank:

I talked with the guys running the event. Here is the schedule breakdown:

Saturday: After tech, we can run as many times as we want rolling up into the staging lanes. I will see if we can possibly have a lane dedicated to us? Time for test -n-tune is from 10AM to 4 PM. After 4, they are going to get everyone ready for our 2 rounds of qualifying (hope you don't have performance anxiety).

On Sunday: No Warm up laps-- Straight racing! Like I said, we are going to have 2 of 3 shootouts. We can work with them on the timing between our rounds. I could foresee us being done by 3 PM.

Just got a commitment today regarding a mystery "Hired Gun" driver, who will drive my six pack Cuda at KCIR. He promises to take down a certain white Oldsmobile as favor to me.:3gears:

    PS, he's not from Philly

You tryin' to scare me! Last year your hired gun couldn't get it done and I took you out in Tulsa! Problem with your new gun is that he is used to things happening faster than what the 'Cuda will do. :Dou:

I just spoke with one of the organizers and we will have a dedicated lane for our class.

Also, a question was posed to me if they could run in more than one class (running some slicks). The answer is 'Yes' but when you are called to the lanes on Saturday qualifying and Sunday racing, they won't be waiting!

Hopfully, the only time the water turns on is when we are asleep!!

I will tell everyone that the easiest way to get to the track is to head south to I-470 to exit 7B 350 highway to Raytown. Head north to the 1st stoplight, turn right (Noland Rd) and go about 1/2 mile. Everything is on the right side of the road. The other option is I-70 east past the stadiums to Noland Rd and head south about 3 miles (hilly narrow roads). If anyone had any questions, please leave me a PM. I will get back with you!!!:3gears:

Hey guys, it looks like a 10-12 car field. Temps will be a little hot (88), and the humidity will be up too, at least we'll have a little tail wind to run with. My wife Cindy, has agreed to keep us fed on Saturday, I think she picked up a trick or two from the Remlinger gang.
Rusty or I, will get there early Sat. and place a couple of signs for the FAST/FS pit area. If all goes smoothly, we will "bookend" both edges of our area with our trailers. Just look for the White OLDS on one end, and the red Cuda and slime green Challenger on the other end. As of now, there are no other FAST entries but mine, so the FS guys will get the spoils. :3gears:

Have a safe trip, see you guys fri. nite or Sat. morning.

    Steve
