Tried to order some black floor mats(for a 70GS), from CARS again just now. They dont have any and dont know when they might have some more produced. The fellow said " he was being told about six months, but it was just a matter of conjecture right know'" whatever the heck that means... I asked about the possibility of them producing some if there were a group purchase and he blew me off, something about,"must be a problem with the production". They told me about six months about a year ago. If anybody has a set of the black correct looking floor mats like CARS used to sell I am in the market. I would like all four but would settle for the fronts only. Bert
I say... I say we get together and find out how many in here want some and approch CARS with a bombardment of calls to produce another run of them. I have bought 2 sets from them in the past and would like to have an extra set now if possible. So...How many of you guys and gals would like a set and how many? If we see that their is 25 to 50 sets wanted, then lets all call them at once and let them know we are serious. The squeeky wheel get the grease! :rant: GSX Eric :3gears:
I have not seen their floor mats, but if they are correct and look good I want a set. Are they carpet ot rubber?
Repo Tri-shield rubber front Floor mats The ones I got from Cars were great and were as close as original as I cold ever hope for. They are rubber and look to me the same as my old originals. If I remember correctly the two front pair I bought were about $150.00/pr. If more people respond in wanting these then I think Cars can look on here ( or Parts Place) and see that we would all like to have them make another run of them. I know of two runs they have made on these in the last 8 years. Anyone else ?
mats I wish that CARS would make a set in tan (how hard would it be to inject a little color into the mold?) but I would definitely be interested in purchasing a complete set in black (front and rear).
Full set of black for me too. I agree with Jim in thinking TPP could jump on this thing and run with it. As far as I know no one else is making any quality looking mats for our cars, at least not regularly.
I asked the Cars guy a few years back about doing saddle and he just laughed. Funny how someone there came up with the idea to make a saddle trunk mat? when I do not think it was ever available from the factory. I know they have had trouble selling these which is maybe they do not want to make other color floor mats, Gee maybe if they had made the right thing to begin with someone would buy it, yah think! Push the Parts Place at least they get things done.
Someone already has these in pre-production. When the official notice gets to me, I will have them on our site. I am expecting some samples here in the next week or two.
I will let you know when these are available and what distribution method will be selected. I won't be at BG but at Salem.

i am working with a person from replica plastics he seems to want to do buick stuff mybe we need to start dealing with one company instead of how many he is going to reproduce the ac fan shrouds for the 65 / 66 nailhead ac cars wildcats electra's skylark gs models with the 28" rad. if you want me to keep with this guy and see what he says i will need someone to send them something and differnt colors as well or are you guys familiar with this place? thanks Greg
George, if it makes a difference, I'll take four sets of the fronts. Maybe rears too depending on the price for them, if you know what I mean. Rears are for show but the fronts actually have utiility value. I'm assuming they are black with white tri-shield like the originals.
Yeah,it would be nice if someone were to reproduce saddle mats for our GS's. If someone were to make them,I'd love to have a set of front mats.
