Hellllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo? I need a full set now in black (and another full set in the near future). All these offers for someone to turn a profit and it isn't getting jumped on? Must have bigger fish to fry on higher dollar items but customers have allot more loyalty to suppliers who "even do" the small items because they know you aren't getting rich on them at $150 a set (for fronts) but more importantly you are interested in HELPING the customers on a difficult item that makes a huge difference to our interiors. I'll rub a hole in my carpet before I use ANYTHING but the original style Tri-Shield mats. It is still one of the coolest mats I have ever seen. Come on guys........................ Ya know, Wendy's was initially expected to go out of business selling big 99 cent hamburgers ("couldn't be done!") but even with low profits there is definitely something to be said for quantity orders and establishing a loyal customer base. That's right! PHP: it is a wear item after all... Good point Tim, a sacrificial item I guess one could call it (sacrifices to save the carpet). I just really cannot believe no one is doing these currently. I have spent months looking for usable ones and ended up diggin arouind in my barn the other weekend for hours for two that are not even the correct color, but I am still using them. The way this post is staying up at the top suppliers have to know that everyone is watching to see who is looking out for us first, at least I know I am!
I hear yeah, I have a complete set in light green, getting old (you know how the edges fray and turn rough) and they smell like mice but wondering if a guy could use them to make a mold or something (or even dye them until finding replacements). Currently vert has one drivers from Stage 1, and one rear mat for the passenger front. Its sad!!! :laugh:

I just heard from the prospective manufacturer: I will have to see if CARS is still going to make them. (The mats) If so I i will definitely not make them. So, other projects are in the works by him. I will keep you posted on them. He was looking into making the GS hood scoops and seal plates. All is up in the air now since PPI is looking into making new GS hoods. He feels if PPI makes the hoods....they will also make the scoops and seal plates.

Can anybody post a link to the CARS site? From re-reading this whole post, it seems there is a prospective manufacturer that George Nenadovich has tentatively lined up, but he won't go ahead if CARS is going to? And CARS isn't telling anyone if they are are are not going ahead, FOR SURE, and WHEN? ou: ou: ou: The whole thing sounds stalled to me. Maybe we should all send order inquiries to CARS and see if we can get a definitive answer once and for all.

It seems like even if the rubber mats are made they will only be done in black and not other colors.

Cars is now holding everyone hostage. If they won't tell people what is going on, then that is their problem (same old game). I won't order from them, simple as that. George has been excellent over the years and I will certainly support him if he can get these mats to market.
YES! IT MAT ters! Well, I was up in the top of my barn this weekend looking AGAIN for some usable mats. As I sifted through everything, watching out for black widows,brown recluse spiders, and the occasional snake (non poisoness Black Racers that climb up there looking for mice, but still a real "thrill" to stir up :shock: ) Yes, all nice and sweaty, gently gagging on all the dust and mold accumulated over the last 115 years in the barn, straining to see into the dark, damp recesses of the loft, a thought gently crossed my mind................................................WHEN THE HELL IS SOMEONE GOING TO MAKE US SOME FLOOR MATS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! Come on!!!! I really, really, cannot believe this cannot be done when it already has been done once before. Does someone have the molds to do these and they just aren't going to use them? If they have no intention of using them will they at least sell them to someone who will ? As old as our cars are these are next to impossible to find in any kind of decent shape and then it is probably some color you don't need. Ever try and dye one? NOT TOO good!!! ou: PLEASE make us some mats, someone, anyone. Sorry to rant, but I don't want this thread to die. We NEED mats.
