Did you ever ask Albert why he thinks blacks are treated that way? It sounds like his actual mom and brothers are prime examples of the stereotype {Stereotype like calling all whites racist or privileged} problem that feeds into the problem. Was his dad around? Hopefully your family set him on the right path, how is he doing now?

On the way to jail stupid cop radios another cop to say we got his fat ass. Other cop says say what? dude aint fat -- he weighs about 125.

You need to dig deeper into the root cause of the issues you are talking about without just using the fashionable buzz words. Apparently Albert was the exception to the rule in his family and is paying the price for their issues. Same thing is happening on a larger scale within the entire community. Why do they put up with it? Those that don't get chastised by their own piers.

Since were telling stories about racism. When I was eight years old I was jumped by 7 black kids who forced me to the ground and said "eat rocks white boy"... Does that count or was it ok since I was white. How about another black kid that tried to steal my school bag or the one that pushed me off my bike and tried to steal it... Yeah, I grew up in a bad part of the city but that does not justify their actions. Living as a white person is a black area is not so great either. Have I had similar issues with other races including whites? Nope
This was in the mid 70's, you don't really want to go into that same neighborhood today, My parents moved out of the city when I was nine, I guess they would be accused of "white flight: for doing that. My first friend at the new suburban school I went to was "wait for it" Black. He is still a good friend of mine today.

This is where I used to live, at one time there were 5 other houses next to it. It did not look like this when we moved out along with the other 5 white families soon after. What happened to cause this? Why did this have to happen? Its not an isolated incident.

Black was 13.4%,.....keep that in mind when looking at the above table,....

And we're racist??,....

There are roughly 4x more whites than blacks but,...the overall homicide number is within a few hundred,...and the black offender to white victim is twice that of the reverse,....what am I missing???

And the same offender to victim ratio is within a few percent,.. so by the numbers we are racist against our own looks like,....

And the violent crime/race stats will be even more skewed in the same direction I'm sure

 

I think the conversation is not about crime, but the racism that's been highlighted during the anthem.

It's certainly a surreal time. I don't have any feelings towards Kap, but I understand what he's doing. I don't need to get my panties in a bunch over how he chooses to highlight his cause. Do I need to be interested in it? Not at all, but as an American I am interested in justice so I have an opinion on his cause whether he kneels or not.

Is Albert in constant fear for his life because of "white on the right", or is the problem relatively small and he goes about his daily life as a butcher in Atlanta without issue?


For the record, I am not afraid of Antifa. That said, my middle son lives in the Pearl District of Portland and I hate that Antifa goes unchecked because of a weak, left leaning, nut job, putz of a mayor.

 

So crime has no bearing on peoples opinion on another race and its strictly just hatred for a race due to the color of their skin? That's a pretty shallow observation to think that.

It would be much easier to get on the injustice train if as much effort was put on solving the issues with documented black crime rates instead of passing judgment that all whites are racist.

I have a VERY liberal friend ,...he was in town visiting his parents,...we were discussing this issue as we often do,..he says I'm racist,..so I told him to put his beautiful wife and children in the car and let's over to Highland,...that's just one of the neighborhoods you don't go,...I asked him if he would get out and walk with his wife and kids down Highland Ave,..withouta millisecond of hesitation...he of course said HELL NO,...I asked why,..he said that's a death wish,...I stood there with my shoulders shrugged and said "looks like you're racist too!",.....he has had a different viewpoint from that day

Now I'm sure there are a few of those NUTJOBS that say they are just lashing out for their past "injustices" and we "deserved" it,....and to that I say you need mental assistance

All i know is race relations have lost all the progress they made in the last many years.....now i am around black people and wonder if they think this mid 60's bald white guy is a racist(50 years a Deadhead..race has never had meaning to me).....i never had thoughts like that before all the current events......and some of my friends agree......
