Keep at it Guy. Jenn and I are coming up on 60 days with no drink. When we lost Steven it helped to dull the pain. When we saw what was what 2 months ago we said enough......! Thanks for the inspiration albeit at a great personal cost. Jenn and I keep you, your family and your forward path in our prayers daily. Thanks for your update and picture.
Most of my family (Aunts, Uncles, Biological father) died due to alcoholism. I quit drinking when my wife, Jenny, got pregnant with our eldest son William in 1985. Best decision I ever made. I admire anyone who can face up to their addictions, look them in the eye, stand up again if fallen and keep on going. My hat is off to you sir!
Congrats Guy!! It's nice to hear you are doing so well and helping others who are still early on on the road to recovery.
Thank you all for the support. Whether you know it or not, all the warm caring thoughts are a huge help with me staying positive. Thank you all for that. Been going to a weekly Bible study with my house sponsor here and I get to invite peers. Getting a pretty good group of guys going from the house here and we all really look forward to it. It so much impresses me that I may try to start one when I back home. A lot of bible verses really can relate to our addiction and disease and also our everlasting fight.
Great to hear you're doing well! Stay with it, and grow closer to God as HE is the answer God Bless....prayers & HIS word
Been Hoping you were doing good, Guy. Glad that in patient treatment is doing you some good. My wife failed 2 treatment courses. Finally stopped after 3 alcohol related problems. Been sober 33 yrs. Keep up the good work and remember One day at a time. Tim
Going to Bible study tonight from the rehab home. I have so many peers here going that we now need a van to take us. thank you everyone for the support!
Guys I appreciate you reaching out, typical of the Buick family for sure. Life is just a little wild right now, but all will be ok. The last few years have been damn stressful.
