The service station made 50 cents a gallon? When I worked at a gas station outside Buffalo the profit was 7.5 cents a gallon..

That's what he was saying said that the monthly report was 50cent just shows how much we get stiffed to increase others profits

Nothing wrong with profit that's how capitalism works of course but when prices are inflated for nefarious reasons just to increase an already lucrative situation,..that's just ramming Ole John Q with a wire brush cut you can

You find a 10% profit margin outrageous? I bet EVERY expense of that gas station has gone up in price much more than that in the last 18 months.

The problem is not capitalism (ie the free and voluntary exchange of goods and services), but the lack of capitalism. The energy industry all over the world has been engineered to shortcircuit the free market.

There has been no "free market" in the petroleum industry in decades. Much of the world's oil supplies come from government-owned oil fields. A lot of the governments that own the oil don't like us. They can - up to a point - name whatever price that they want to.
As to the thought that the oil companies like this situation, hardly. As the price of oil goes through the roof, we will be forced into hybrids and EVs. This does not benefit the oil companies. Going back into an earlier post, the profit margins of major oil companies are not excessive.

The owners manual for my 2011 Duramax says the dyed diesel will do damage. Recently a friend of my Son's who is a certified GM tech. told me that was BS. I might give it a shot!

"Here’s the situation. And when it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over."

we are getting crushed plan accordingly in the coming months we can fix this.
We will never get off fossil fuels and will take over 50+ years to do it
Mining for the products needed to work these electric cars will pollute just as much if not more.
but to each his own, I guess getting crushed in the whole economy is better for us, teaches us a lesson...in...
    stupidity

I'm beginning to believe a good portion of this fuel issue is related to the push towards electric cars.
