I tried to eliminate having to use my spacer, as I’d like to be able to run my stock air cleaner, and I’m not a fan of my drop base air cleaner. I FORGOT why I HAD to run a spacer. The dual feed fuel line just touches the the bolt for the a/c bracket enough to put upward pressure on it ( I know I know, why you still have a/c? ‘Cause I do!) The fitting for the vacuum modulator was also hitting the fuel line. Lastly and more interesting, the rear accelerator pump hits the carb pad! I clearanced the carb pad, but still had the fuel line issue, and I wasn’t about to modify my nice stainless dual feed line, it seals great, never had any issues. I just found it interesting the secondary accelerator pump interfered with the carb pad, unless TA figured you’d run a spacer anyway
Still gotta upload that vid, can’t do it from my phone on you tube, gotta do it from my lap top. Put hood on yesterday, have a few more things to check, got 6 quarts of OLE in it not registering on stick yet, drain water out of rad and add a gallon of antifreeze, been busy cutting the grass and pulling damn weeds.
Put weed killer on ‘em, they come back. Pour gas (back in the old days) on ‘em, they come back. Engine oil, anti freeze, they come back, What’s all this concern over the environment? Mother Nature has us beat
A lot cheaper lololol! I’m having issues with this ‘68 Camaro at work too, parts store can’t get a correct starter or alternator for a SBC, I thought EVERYONE had those parts
had to deal with back in the day motor change trans change flywheel change bellhousing change vw's notorious engine changes which made tuneups crazy
