i had a kid tell me his ford taurus had "nawz" in it... i asked him to show me the bottle. he popped his trunk and pointed to the inner fender well(covered in carpet mind you). i told him that was his fender well and he replied "i know the nawz is behind it" so i said really and pulled the carpet back to show him the sheet metal behind it...

oh yeah, he also told me he drifts his taurus...

he tehn rear ended a school bus later in teh week

 

I have one story, I was walking to my riv and a guy who has a riced out Del Sole
ask how fast my car was since he saw my supercharger logo on my truck I tell him the E/T time he gives me a weird look like he had no idea what E/T was, I have not bother to tell what E/T is.

 

Yeah, it's me again. Ok get this. My friend will not be able to attend my wedding this July because he has an interview with John Force!!! Apparently Mr.Force is in dire need of a fabricater. The only fabrication my friend does consists of the stories he tells. I'll make sure that I let Kenny Bernstein and Mario Andretti know there's going to be an extra plate or two they can fight over and my reception!!! Gawd, whay do I have lame friends?!?!

I was reading through these and it reminded me of a while back me and my friend made an account on youtube and we talked crap about anything fast saying how our 8 second hyundai would beat anything. HAHAH For some reason no one ever asked to see proof or anything.

 

You-tube is full of video of guys claiming their car has 800-1000hp and runs 11's-10's-9's... They show the car racing on the street. They show the car warming the tires and staging. Then they show it launching and running down the track but never focus on the clocks. Hmmmm.
Very few show a run at a strip and the time. There are so many stories out there now everyone believes everything everyone says.

My son Vincent who is 14 and going into high school next year loves talking cars, is very knowledgeable and knows what it takes to run 13's-12's-11's-10's-9's-8's-7's and 6's. He has been accompaning me to the track for years including many Gator Nationals and talked to many drivers. He has watched the stage 1 run mid 12's and the turbo run low 11's (one time a guy wouldn't pay the bet he made with Vince on one of my turbo runs once he found I was the dad). He is getting very good at predicting the time the clocks will register as he watches some car run.

He used to come home from school upset about some kid who insisted his brother/father's car could do this or run that (total BS) and my son tried to explain what it takes to get that much weight to do what was claimed. I told him to forget it and don't let it upset you because you will never change their minds. They don't want to be confused with facts.
