It started around 9 am and was pretty steady most of the day. Probably got around 3-5 ". Was really good timing as I needed to see how and where the water was going to run under the deck after the excavation. Had the opportunity to route it to a more desirable area of the yard instead of having it dump over the walkway in the back. Now I'll line that channel with pond liner before it gets covered with deck boards. In between hydroforming I assembled a 455.

It’s great, got a lot done on mine. Fixing to put my original cast iron on, then tomorrow paint the motor. 40+ years ago I took it off for an aluminum one. Here I go back, the last time doing it.

    Dang Brian,
I told you I like to share. Was she a word that rhymes with snitch? I guess you’ll find out in the morning if you have a rake in your hand.

Hurricane related, I parked my go cart back where it belongs. I did order two new fan belts from Amazon the day of the hurricane. Internet is amazing. Hopefully I will be riding it Sunday. It probably could use a bath also.

    Another dang Brian,
You live in a pretty part of the state! So many cool things in a lot of different directions. It’s not the swamp and the mud of South Florida but it is pretty cool!

Heck yes I’m drinking. Hey Brian, have you ever been to the little Grand Canyon in Georgia. I don’t know if that’s really what the state park is called but it is beautiful! My son went through basic training at Fort Benning. We got to take him out for one weekend just before he was finished. Of course they make him dress in his dress uniform, and my redneck family, this is what we want to do. We did it, and he made it without getting mud all over his uniform. What a blast!

Back in August I and another scout dad were in the very northeast corner of the state at Rabun Bald (on the Bartram Trail) plotting out an overnight hike for the scout troop. Here’s the view during the recon, followed by the view from the actual hike:

I don’t know why the Joro spider attached itself to my photos, but they’re cool, too. We have paths all through the woods, and they’ve learned to build their webs above head and car height!

I knew it! Patrick how the heck are you? We have those big ass spiders down here. They usually show up after hurricanes. No lie. I don’t know why but they do

The Buick nationals, see I told you I was Buick related, used to be in October. For three years in a row it was the same weekend as the Talladega race. We bought weekend tickets because they were a better deal than the Sunday tickets. We would leave the GS nationals, haul but down to 4168CCE8-A138-4653-B61B-BEF0BAE926EB.png 099427E9-B671-435A-A9C2-749A78F64FC5.png 08C24B24-C3FB-4C98-855F-AA8D91B9D9BA.png Chea state park, and go to the race the next day. What an awesome three years! Sorry for the double clutching

Nicole actually fixed our mini drought problem. Probably got close to 3 inches. Very little wind so no damage.
